Butte County Fire Safe Council Partners with Pro Football Legend Vernon Davis for Cantor Fitzgerald's Annual 9/11 Charity Day

CHICO, Calif. — September 14, 2026: The Butte County Fire Safe Council (BCFSC) partnered with pro football legend Vernon Davis, who represented the organization as celebrity ambassador on the trading floor during Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Group's Charity Day, marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, in New York City. Being selected as a 2026 beneficiary is a tremendous honor for BCFSC, and having Vernon Davis champion the cause made it a landmark moment for the organization.

About Cantor Fitzgerald's Charity Day
Charity Day was established by Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliate BGC Group to honor the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald and 61 Euro Brokers employees lost in the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attacks. This year marked the 25th anniversary of that day. Each year, Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Group commemorate the day by donating a full day of revenue to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, which supports more than 150 charitable organizations. Celebrity ambassadors join brokers on the trading floors at offices in New York, London, France, and Brazil, helping execute trades and raise funds in a global act of giving that pays forward the kindness shown in the aftermath of 9/11.
Vernon Davis brought his voice and energy to the phones on BCFSC's behalf, helping raise funds and awareness for wildfire prevention, preparedness, and community resilience in one of the most fire-affected regions in the country.
