Neighbor-to-Neighbor: Building Community Resilience Together

Neighbor-to-Neighbor, a program of California Volunteers, Office of the Governor, gave the BCFSC the capacity to host community events connecting neighbors through shared fire safety goals.

Through this program, we've been able to bring together community members, natural resource management partners, and local representatives to learn lessons of wildfire recovery, share experiences, and build the foundations of fire-safe communities.

Program Events

The Neighbor-to-Neighbor program has supported numerous community events including:

  • 19th Annual Wildfire Safety Summit - Our flagship annual event bringing together fire safety professionals, community members, and agency partners
  • Oroville Grazing Workshop - Hands-on education about grazing as a fuel reduction tool
  • 18th Annual Wildfire Safety Summit - A day of connection, inspiration, and shared commitment to wildfire safety
  • Concow Bus Tour - Learning lessons of wildfire recovery from local experts and legacy community members
