Backyard Stewardship Program

The Backyard Stewardship Program explores the intersection of wildfire resilience, responsibility, and ecosystem health on a backyard scale.

Created for Butte County and communities beyond, the program celebrates the natural beauty of the place we call home, inviting us to notice the pollinators, birds, wildlife, and plants we share it with. It challenges us to tend our land in ways that balance flourishing gardens and healthy ecosystems with the realities of wildfire, knowing that when we care for the land, it cares for us in return.
