BCFSC offers a variety of educational programs for youth throughout Butte County. Our programs help young people understand wildfire risk, learn how to prepare, and foster the next generation of community leaders.

Wildfire in the Foothills
An interactive 6th grade curriculum teaching students about wildfire ecology, prevention, and safety in our foothill communities.

Elementary School Assembly
Engaging assemblies, in partnership with CAL FIRE, for 2nd and 3rd grade students covering emergency preparedness and wildfire safety.

Wildfire Ready Raccoon
Our mascot Wildfire Ready Raccoon helps young children learn about wildfire preparedness through events, fun activities and videos.

High School Level Programs (in development)
Introducing high school students to careers in forestry, fire science, and natural resource management.
